Fathom Integration
Turn your Fathom meeting transcripts into time entries automatically
The Fathom integration imports the transcripts of your recorded meetings into Rize and turns each one into a suggested time entry, so meeting time is captured with real context instead of a blank calendar block.
What the integration does
Import transcripts
Fathom notifies Rize when a meeting has been recorded and transcribed, and the transcript is imported without you doing anything.
Create time entries
Rize turns each transcript into a suggested time entry that appears in your Time Entry Inbox for review.
Only your own meetings
Rize reads the recordings on your own Fathom account. It does not reach other people's meetings.
Keep you in control
Turn auto-import off to hold new meetings without losing them, and turn it back on to release everything held.
Prerequisites
- A Rize account on a plan that includes integrations.
- A Fathom account that records and transcribes your meetings.
Adding the app
Open Settings > Integrations > Fathom
Sign in to Rize, open Settings from the sidebar, choose Integrations, then select Fathom.
Click Connect
Rize sends you to Fathom to authorize the connection. This is the recommended route: Rize only ever accesses your own recordings.
Or paste an API key instead
If you would rather not use OAuth, the same page accepts a Fathom API key. Paste it and submit to connect.
Confirm the connection
The Fathom card shows as connected with auto-import on. New meetings start importing from here.
Using the app
- Record a meeting in Fathom as you normally would.
- When Fathom finishes processing the transcript, it notifies Rize and the transcript is imported.
- A suggested time entry appears in your Time Entry Inbox, where you can review, edit, approve, or reject it.
Each meeting imports once, no matter how many notifications arrive for it.
Auto-import
The Fathom card has an auto-import toggle. With it on, transcripts become suggested time entries as they arrive. With it off, meetings are still received and stored but held rather than turned into entries — turning it back on releases everything held while it was off.
Troubleshooting
- No time entry after a meeting — confirm Fathom actually recorded and transcribed the meeting. Without a transcript there is nothing to import.
- "Fathom requires a paid plan" — the integration needs a Rize plan that includes integrations. Upgrade in Settings, then reconnect or re-enable auto-import.
- Imports stopped after a plan change — a lapsed subscription pauses importing. Renew, then re-enable auto-import.
- The API key stopped working — regenerate it in Fathom and reconnect, or switch to the OAuth connection.

Removing the app
- Open Settings → Integrations → Fathom.
- Click Disconnect.
- Rize deletes the connection and the stored Fathom credentials immediately. No further meetings are imported.
Time entries you already approved stay in your Rize timeline — they are your time data. Nothing in your Fathom account is changed or deleted. You can reconnect at any time by repeating the steps above.
