Configuring Meeting Sessions

Rize's Meeting Session settings enable you to customize meeting detection and categorization, giving you more control over how your collaborative time is tracked.

Enabling or Disabling Offline Meeting Creation

If Offline Meeting Creation is enabled, Rize will create a Meeting Session with the In Person Meetings category when the following conditions occur:

  1. You have a confirmed calendar meeting with 2 or more attendees, and
  2. Rize detects no activity on your computer during the scheduled meeting time.

Offline Meeting Creation can be enabled or disabled in Settings > Calendars.

Customizing Meeting Categorization

Rize can look for keywords in your calendar event title or description to automatically categorize your meetings. You can use the Meeting Categorization rules to define the keywords to match and the categories to apply.

Meeting Categorization rules can be added in Settings > Calendars.

Setting Default Meeting Duration

Default Meeting Duration can be changed in Settings > Meetings.

Enabling or Disabling Meeting Categorization Override

Enabling Meeting Categorization Override will attribute all time spent in meetings to the meeting category.

Example: With Meeting Cateogrization Override enabled, time spent in Google Docs during a video call will be attributed to Video Conferencing instead of Documenting.

Meeting Categorization Override can be enabled or disabled in Settings > Meetings.
