Creating Sessions from Calendars

Sessions are a core component of Rize that help categorize the work you were doing into one of three groups: focus work, meetings, or breaks.

Rize's calendar integration can automatically create Sessions based on your calendar events, helping you track how you spend your time without manual entry.

Creating Sessions Using Keywords​

Rize will detect keywords in your calendar event titles or descriptions to automatically create Focus, Meeting, or Break Sessions. These keywords can be customized in Settings > Calendars.

The default keywords for each Session type are as follows:

  • Focus Sessions: #rize-focus, focus, and flow
  • Meeting Sessions: #rize-meeting
  • Break Sessions: #rize-break and break
